“Dark Light of Seduction” Coliseum

Having done numerous photos for Coliseum for album artwork and more I was honed into their band aesthetic. When it came time to make music videos they commissioned 5 different artists to create music videos for each song. I was chosen to create a music video for “Dark Light of Seduction.”

The inspiration for this video was very much high contrast BW reminiscent of Depeche mode and other 80’s music videos. The haunted aesthetic is my specialty so this video was curated like a beautiful nightmare.

This video was comprised of footage shot at a hidden abandoned neighborhood , an abandoned church, and an abandoned building in the highlands. The sea creatures were shot at the Newport Aquarium in Cincinnati. The water scenes where the female figure is submerged was shot at Falls of the Ohio.

I have always been drawn to dark and beautiful and I felt like this song and these visuals were a perfect pairing.
