Chosen as one of the top 6 food photographers in Louisville

by Peerspace!

In addition to capturing shots of good eats and drinks, Mickie Winters is a shutterbug of many genres, including commercial, music, portrait, wedding, and family photography. She has an especially consistent style across these genres — her food, family, and wedding work all use a similar color profile with contrasting bright white highlights and a matte profile that imparts a contemporary flavor.

Occasionally, she also brings in a moody, shadow-infused style that brings out punchy colors and fine details in dishes and ingredients. Coupled with her eye for complementary backgrounds and compositions that emphasize shapes and colors, Mickie is an ideal photographer for clients looking for food art over mere documentation. Ever the Renaissance woman, she also teaches photography workshops at several locations, including the University of Louisville and Union College.

Where do we start?

I have worked with numerous clients locally and nationally. Many different aesthetics & brands. Clients come to me trusting that I can match their current brand and fine tune it, or if starting from the beginning create a new look altogether.

Excellence and cultivating the best for your brand is my objective.

  1. Consultation Meeting

Let’s chat! Even if you have zero clue where you want to end up you just know you need to update EVERYTHING and need a photographer I’ve got you! Our consultation meeting will lay a base of what your goals are, what you need in order to achieve those goals, and what I can do for you & your project.

Fees are tailored to meet your needs. After the initial meeting you will receive a quote.

  2. Vision Design

Here we start compiling key words, color schemes, inspirations that will help guide our photo sessions. I ask you numerous questions to fine tune your aesthetic and how you want your clients to perceive your brand or project. Usually handled via emails and phone calls we get a solid base of the vision we want to see your project though.

  3. Call to Action

We book the shoot! Depending on your business needs we usually draw up a contract and get the ball rolling. We decide where, what date & time and all the details that will best execute your vision for your new photos!

  4. Run of Show

The first shoot! Often after the first shoot, clients who are updating their businesses arrange for maintenance sessions monthly. These maintenance sessions are to update social media and websites or marketing in relation to holidays, new menus, new employees etc! Monthly maintenance sessions are discounted after the initial Run of Show shoot and highly recommended but there are quarterly options as well.

  5. New Branding Complete!

You receive your photos and get pumped for your project to have a fresh look! We draw up a game plan for any future maintenance sessions your business may need. Photos are delivered in a timely manor and often with in 24 hours !

Studio rental options are available for any project!
